About Us

Hi! We're Tim and Annette Finney. We love all things ‘rustic’ and enjoy our frequent visits to the Smoky Mountains and other National Parks, where we have taken our inspiration from the beauty of nature.

Tim is an avid whitetail deer hunter and brings home deer he has harvested every deer season. So we like to use as many parts of the deer as possible, including the tallow, in our business. Annette’s father was a business owner and carpenter who taught her how to use all his power tools to build or repurpose things. She enjoys working with her wood lathe to create beautiful wood bowls and vases.

All products we sell are handmade on our property in Lake Orion, Michigan. Our tallow products are not FDA approved and fall under cosmetic regulations, so are not regulated under cottage industry laws (these are usually for food, not cosmetics).

We're currently building up our inventory which will include products like deer antler lamps, venison and beef tallow balms, and wooden utensils and bowls.
